For many of us, laundry feels simple: Put it in the machine, press a button, and wait for the sound of completion. But in truth, not many of us honestly care about our clothes.

When we wash or dry them the wrong way, we don’t just shorten their lifespan, we strip away the quiet beauty of the fabric itself. And with linen, a material that lives, breathes, and changes over time, the way you care for it shapes how it grows with you. Proper care not only keeps your clothes lasting longer, but also helps protect the world they come from.

I’ve worked with linen for years, touched it, shaped it, and watched it soften through every stage. So let me share a few small ways to help your linen stay beautiful, for longer.

Wash softly

Machine wash: gentle cycle, in a laundry bag, turned inside out.
Hand wash: use cool or lukewarm water (<40°C), press lightly, avoid wringing.
Bamboo: Smooth, cool, suitable for babies who sweat easily.

Linen is alive in its own way, so you should treat it gently.
